1931 socks manufacturing was started in Grönahög outside Ulricehamn. The production was from the beginning a bit modest and consisted mainly of simpler socks. Until the 1960s, the company grew increasingly stronger and the production then consisted of; to the greater part of work socks and coarse everyday socks. As the general interest in sports and leisure in Sweden grew during the 1970s, more and more different types of sports socks were manufactured. At the same time, BOLA was established as a brand.
